AI Document Studio Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) and able to form a binding contract to use the App. The App is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed to children.

2. Licence

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own lawful use. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

3. Your Documents and Content

You retain all ownership of the documents, scans, and other content you open, create, or process with the App ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. The App is local-first: your documents are processed on your device, and cloud features (such as cloud AI or cloud OCR) are optional and run only when you enable them. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for keeping your own backups. You represent that you have the rights necessary to use Your Content with the App.

4. AI Features

The App offers AI-assisted features (for example summaries, question answering, quizzes, flashcards, and translation). AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading and is provided for convenience only. It is not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI output before relying on it. When you use a cloud AI mode, relevant text is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate your result, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Subscriptions, Purchases & Billing

The App offers an optional Pro upgrade that removes ads and unlocks additional features. Pro may be offered as an auto-renewing subscription (for example monthly or yearly) or a one-time (lifetime) purchase, sold and processed through Google Play Billing.

• Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region and over time.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with Google Play's policies and applicable law. We do not separately process payments and do not store your payment card or bank details.

6. Advertising

The free version of the App may display advertising provided through Google AdMob. Ads are shown in a non-intrusive manner and are governed by Google's advertising policies. Some ads are optional and rewarded (for example, watching a video to earn additional AI usage). Upgrading to Pro removes ads. See our Privacy Policy for how ad-related data is handled.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose or to process content you do not have the right to use;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or related systems;
• circumvent, disable, or defeat any usage limits, security, ad, or licensing measures;
• use the App to create or distribute malware, or to infringe the rights of others.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including Google Play, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase, and (when you enable them) cloud AI / cloud OCR providers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, including Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, branding, and software (excluding Your Content) are owned by Kemlow and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership in the App to you.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. You use the App at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kemlow will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the App. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 20. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Botswana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law applies to you.
